When the name or packaging changes
A refreshed label and a changed formula require different treatment.
Do not assume two products are identical because their names or packaging look similar. Match the region, option and identifiers.
A brand can confirm that a change is only a name update. Beauty of Joseon explains that Relief Sun’s change from Rice + Probiotics to Rice + Niacinamide did not change its formula or size.
A renewal can also be a separate product. The Korean Anua Heartleaf 77 Hyaluron toner is recorded separately from the international Heartleaf 77 Soothing Toner.
