The buying notebook
Find the exact product on your label
Name, capacity, shade and barcode each solve a different part of the match.
Start with the brand and complete product name. Similar names may identify a cleanser, toner and serum in the same range.
Copy the capacity and unit exactly: mL and g are not interchangeable. A two-pack of 50 mL units is different from one 100 mL bottle.
For colour products, keep the printed shade code. Save that option so the link brings you back to the same choice.
Use a barcode as an additional identifier when both the brand and seller publish one. A matching barcode is useful evidence, while the label on the delivered item remains the final check.
